CEN SGO is a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. It is not part of, affiliated with or endorsed by the IRS, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the U.S. Department of Education or any state or local government.
The Education Freedom Tax Credit (26 U.S.C. §25F) applies to qualified donations made on or after January 1, 2027. Treasury's final regulations have not been published, and details on this site may change when they are. The credit is up to $1,700 per taxpayer per year and is non-refundable. The amount you can claim depends on your own federal tax liability and on whether your state has elected to take part.
CEN SGO awards every scholarship under the federal rules. Donors may choose a school but may not designate a donation for a specific student, and a donation does not guarantee a scholarship for any family. Scholarship amounts and availability depend on the donations received and on each family's eligibility.
Where a state requires charitable organizations to register before soliciting donations, registration does not imply endorsement, approval or recommendation by that state. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for more.
